Dam Patrick Show. You are listening to the Dam Patrick Show on Fox Sports Radio. What up, good morning to you, Dam Patrick Show Fox Sports Radio. Along with the great Ryan Hollins, I'm Doug Gottlieb, Dan, the boys are off for the day. We are with you for the next couple of hours. And we got a lot to talk about here. We got we got the officiating disaster that is the Dallas Mavericks against the Phoenix Suns.

1:05.2

We have all these competitive series. We got maybe the weirdest interviews ever at a Formula One race. And do we care about Formula One now that that part to me is is crazy. The MVP, of course, has been announced. Man, we got a lot to get to let's.

1:21.2

Um, can we start with the Mavericks and the Suns Ryan, is that okay with you? Yeah, yeah, let's roll. Okay, so look, this is, this is something that has been occurring much more, much more repetitively in the NBA, then, then I can ever remember. And that's where fans and their actions are causing them to get ejected from from stadiums from arenas.

1:50.2

And so what happened was yesterday during a game, which I mean, really, this is taking away from the fact that that was an awful basketball game to watch.

1:57.2

The officiating was bad, but part of the reason the officiating is bad is everybody's flopping. And so it's really hard to tell like, is that a foul? Is that a foul? Is that a foul? Is that a foul? If they're all just falling down, you almost feel like, okay, what do we call no fouls? We call no fouls, then it gets too physical. And then everybody wants to fight or somebody gets hurt, right? Yeah.

2:17.2

So apparently there's, I don't know if he's a heckler or what it was, it was a young dude hoodie under Jersey. He had a little earring in the right ear. Did you ever rock the earring? No, no, I never had the earring look no, no, who look?

2:34.2

It was, I think it was that it was the diamond, diamond pendant diamond stud or whatever, the earring in the ear. And he on some level either heckled or made contact with somebody of Chris Paul's family.

2:51.2

Here's Charles Barkley after the game. I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

2:59.2

All right, we'll get to that. We'll get to that upcoming. First thing is, like, I understand you don't want anybody touching anyone in your family. I don't know what that all means though. Like, do we know, like, was there like a legit two hand push?

3:15.2

Was there or is it like it's people are close to each other and jostling? I have no idea. I do know that like some of this is fans step over the line.

3:26.2

Some of it is that players are way more sensitive to things being said to them than they ever have been.

3:36.2

So I guess Ryan, the question is, which do you think it's more of?

3:40.2

I think that we've seen since COVID fans have been crossing the line. And I'll say this when I played fans crossed the line, but you didn't always necessarily see it.

3:53.2

But I think, you know, think back like Trayon, the spitting on him, that was like crazy. A couple of things that have been built up towards, you know, this villain narrative with Russell Westbrook. And then people feel like, because he, you know, he's kind of opinionated that they can challenge him physically verbally on the floor.

4:13.2

Like they feel like they have a B with Russell Westbrook, which is disgusting to me. Like it's personal. And I think just whatever happened. I hear just pushing of any. There's any contact from a fan at all to Chris Paul's family.

4:30.2

And I'm sure there was I know Chris, he wouldn't act in that behavior without it being such, I lose it. I lose my marbles. If I saw my family being touched being pushed to any degree by anybody. Don't care if it's a middle school or what a hoop in his earring and let alone touch your mother.
