I'm Monday.

It's always Monday.

Never fucking Friday.

Every day's Monday.

Friday's come around once every four or five weeks.

Every goddamn day's a Monday.

How'd you make out in the storm?

That was one Friday.

It was, right?

I don't know how, but everybody around me lost power.

And you see, I'm the first to lose power.

I'm at the end of a private road in the woods.

And there's always these trees.

They died 40 years ago, somehow they're hanging on.

A few squirrel farts, they tip over.

Somehow I mean millions of Westchester or whatever, I'm surrounding towns.

And nothing.

Although a sad start kid in my town, 11 years old, tree falls in the house, kills them.

I worry about that because my house is surrounded by these big beautiful old trees.
