One of the goals of the podcast is to push beyond the typical stories that you hear about the war

and to discuss lesser-known events.

When I saw the book that I will be discussing with its authors during the interview today,

I knew it was a perfect fit.

As an American who was born in 1988, the treatment and benefits provided to military

veterans has been just a fact of American society for my entire life.

You know, there's a very specific definition of what we give to people who choose military

service.

However, the treatment of military veterans is something that has seen a tremendous

amount of change in many nations over the last century.

That change has been driven by a whole host of societal factors and is in no small

part driven by the veterans themselves.

This brings us to the interview today, with Dr.

Martin Crotty, Dr. Neil Diamant, and Dr. Mark Adele, the co-authors of the politics of veterans'
