So the new Tesla Model Y, so-called

Juniper, like the Model 3, upgrade, so-called Highland. Tesla's Gigafactory in Shanghai is set to

begin what's called closed production of the new Model Y today, October 22nd. In fact, it probably

already happened because what with China being ahead of

me time-wise. During this initial phase, access to the factory is limited, with an expected

output of 12 test vehicles per day. A new battery pack may be introduced for the long range and the

performance models. This would be a 96 kilowatt-hour battery pack, enhancing the current offerings of either 60 or 80-kilwatt hours.

So 60-kilwatt-hours battery for the rear-wheel drive, an 80-kilwatt-hours option for the long-range and performance versions.

Tesla don't advertise their battery pack sizes anymore like they used to on the back of their vehicles,
