With that in mind, it's probably quite important to work out what the word

adolescence actually means. Does it just refer to somebody's age, or is it more of a developmental

thing? I reached out to Ron Dahl, director of the Institute of Human Development at the

University of California, Berkeley, to see if adolescence is something that we can agree on the
