In late 2013, parapsychologist John G. Kruth was contacted by a medical doctor.

The physician told him of a patient who was an 11-year-old boy.

The boy seemed to be having inexplicable effects on electronic devices and his family was desperate

to get the effects to stop. It appeared that the boy was experiencing poltergeist activity.

But it was of a unique 21st century nature as it was focused on the electronic devices we have today.

So John Kruth dubbed the case the 21st century poltergeist.

Well, what happened with the 21st century poltergeist? How were devices being affected and what

did Kruth himself witness when he investigated? That's what we'll be talking about on this episode

of Jimmy Aiken's Mysterious World. Jimmy, what do we want to say to begin today's episode?

We've previously discussed poltergeists back in episode 195, so listeners can go back and review

that one for a general overview of the subject. I also plan periodically to cover famous poltergeist

cases and what happened in them. So today, we're looking at a specific poltergeist case. It isn't

famous per se, but it's a very recent case. And I know the principal investigator, his name is

John G Kruth, and he's the executive director of the Ryan Research Center and the educational

director of the Ryan Education Center, which is how I know him because I take classes there,
