On the morning of Sunday, April 6, 1986, 9-year-old Anthanette Kaya-Dito was reported missing

from her family's apartment in Gallup, New Mexico.

The initial story coming out of the investigation was that the child went to answer a knock at

the door in the middle of the night and mysteriously vanished, assumed abducted by whoever had come

to the door.

However, more than 30 years later, new information from the investigation has changed everything.

From the first moments of her disappearance to the searches conducted for her, much of

it appears to be based on lies and deceit.

Now, the story of the missing 9-year-old has taken on a new shape, no longer that of a

middle of the night stranger abduction, but instead, a sick and twisted tale about a mother's

betrayal and a daughter's nightmare.
