Summary

In our final offseason check-in/state of the program/look-ahead episode, we journey west to the land of mountains and coasts (translation: Mountain West and West Coast discussion). Is Gonzaga the top program in the country right now? How high can Colorado State and Nevada climb? How mean are the boys to Air Force (and which one kinda, sorta, sticks up for the Falcons)? We hit on all of these, plus more detailed discussions on the premier programs of each league.

And welcome in, ladies and jents, to yet another episode of the three-man-week college basketball podcast.

Matt Cox running the point tonight flanked, as always, by my two cohorts. They go by Jim Rout and Kai McKeehan, respectively. We have the Zoom machine fired up. Jim above me, Kai below me. And Kai, I'm sorry, that's not in any way indicative of your stature in the 300w totem pole. But that's just kind of how my Zoom gallery arranged you. So you are in the bottom of my screen. How are you this afternoon? Again, another matinee recording time slot for the way of here. We like the matinee. It pleases us schedule-wise. It's kind of morning still for Jim. He's on the West Coast still. But hey, maybe not for long, right? We'll get to that maybe in a second i put you guys horizontally

matt so you're on my right jim's on my left you can call that my right hand man i used it okay i like

little too hot for me I'm gonna come enjoy some some Midwest weather that sounds terrible

breezy shite town shied town stand up that Jim, that's just phenomenal news on multiple levels. I got to, what's like the temperature where it's unbearable? Is it like 110 is that when it like the dry heat just becomes too much to even take a light walk or yag outside? To dry hate that guy. Honestly, what bothers me is it like makes it hard to open my eyes. It's like it's so hot on your eyeballs when it's 115 degrees out. That's like, I just want to have my eyes closed. Like it's, it's less about the feeling of like sweating or heat is. It is my eyes that bothers me. Yeah, it's tough. I have a funny story where I had my eyeballs somber in Lake Tahoe. I didn't wear goggles when skiing. I would not recommend anyone out there who goes to omit. That is a funny story. I blame Mike Cohen. Sorry, Mike. I know he's apologized many times, but I just had to throw you under the bus more time. Should have told me better. Anyway, today's podcast, this is kind of our final conference check-in. we're going to do deeper previews close for the season, but we're just doing states of the state. And today, Mountain West West Coast Conference, we're heading out to Jim stomping grounds. A lot of teams to touch on. We'll try and keep it short and sweet for the ones we don't care about. The Mountain West, there was a lot we didn't care about last year. The WCC has a few too that just doesn't exactly excite us, but we will try and dive deeper into the ones that move the needle with our followers. Not that I haven't looked in those numbers closely at Kaib. I've got to think in Zag and more people want to hear us talk about them than the porty pilots, the porta potty pilots, as they were so lovingly called last season.
