Well the news from Chizic is I have my copy of Bugle and Saber which is the military history of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Sent to me by a contributor to that magazine by the same Colonel.

It's a Colonel, yes. The Colonel has sent me, there's a thing about T-Force for me to read. There's also the Bucks Yomonri at Kohema.

The Royal Buckinghamshire Yomonri in Burma who were at Kohema. No that would definitely peak my interest, I've got to say.

It's just a couple of pages, there's some interesting maps actually. Who was on what Ridge and then with I think a six-pounder.

Fair to say it's changed a lot since then. Well yes there it is. But also what those trees around it don't really give the impression of the sort of quarter of a million people living in a round cave now.

When there used to be half a dozen Niagara Trialsmen and feed goats. That was literally it. So it is completely transformed.

But you definitely get a flavour of it. I think the thing is all around there you're surrounded by that kind of jungle.

So you get exactly what the landscape is. Those rolling hills go all the way down to Chan-Chak which we talked about before.

And pretty much all the way down. It gets more plainly open the further south you go. But all around there there's hills everywhere and they're all covered in trees and gum trees.

I want to have you. It's very very atmospheric. It's very clear to get a very clear taste of what it was like in that environment.

So geographically and in terms of kind of floor and floor and all that kind of stuff. So yeah it's interesting. And I'm just saying you've just held it up and it looks for a kind of you know, comparatively local regiment.

Quarterly. But they got journal it looks pretty glossy and lush.

Oh yes. And the thing you realise of course is they got around the oxen bucks. I mean this is the thing is it's and there isn't just the second war in this magazine.

But they think you know there's this stuff about the you know what do we call the Indian mutiny nowadays which the Indian rebellion isn't we don't call it mutiny anymore.

And do you know no no no Solonica the siege at cut in the first world war all sorts of stuff.

Oh siege of cut that's amazing. That's an amazing.

Yeah yeah. Well I once worked up an idea for a novel based around that.

Really?

Yeah yeah it was it was I quite liked it and I remember I've had a conversation with Ruth Rindle.
