All of us have stuff going on.

Karen is sitting here next to me, and Matt's producing from on the other side of the window and Cody what are we going to talk about today.

The title is long before the headline.

Right. You know when we got ready to do this podcast, I thought,

you know, I need to look more at the business news

and see what's going on.

And I did, and there were two stories

that really jumped out at me today.

And one of them is that the Hurt's CEO is resigning, okay? And it says because he made

a decision to buy Tesla cars and then they're now they're selling

them because it didn't work out blah blah blah. And it reminded me of the fact that

the headlines always say things like well he's he's leaving, he's getting fired or he's resigning because he made one strategic error.

And I remember when I started my career like 26 years ago, I saw this happen in a company where a

where a CEO ran a company into the ground and then the Wall Street Journal or

the all the business media said well he had a, he made a strategic mistake and that's why the company

failed. And way back then I remember thinking that's not true. I've been in there

watching the sausage getting made and they didn't trust each other they didn't

have good conversations they didn't argue well they didn't listen to one another there was no

honesty there was no it was organizationally unhealthy it was dysfunctional
