A mother went to pick up her son from a weekend visitation with his father,

a father who answered the door intoxicated and covered in blood.

Neighbours would later report hearing the mother scream and yell,

My baby, my baby, he killed my baby, please help my baby.

What could have caused a loving father to snap and murder his only child. This is Julius's story. Julius Kzapla was born May 2018 in Edinburgh,

Scotland, to parents Patius Sleznik and Lucas Kzapla. The couple are Polish and moved to Scotland from Poland for more opportunities, meeting in 2013.

Unfortunately, this seven-year relationship ended in June 2020, after an explosive argument over a birthday party.

Apparently, Lukas declined the invite from a neighbour, and Patricia didn't appreciate

him not discussing it with her first. Look, I would imagine the issues were far deeper than that,

and the incident was just the breaking point. After the very messy separation, a custody agreement

was reached where Lucas was spending weekends with his two-year-old son, Julius, something that was a point of contention for Lucas. In the days after this

agreement was signed off by the courts, Lucas met up with a long-time friend Was Chiak for drinks,

and he told this friend he had plans, that Petitia was not a good mother and that she had become

involved with someone else,
