This was like the ultimate extremes of jack slack card. We had the tedious ass Valentina

Shevchenko-main event where she won three rounds to two. Then Daniel Cormier got on the

mic and said, oh, another defense, you keep defending, you're unbeatable, blah, blah, blah, blah, forgetting that she just got the belt back after like two years because it took her three goes to beat Alexa Grasso.

But then, in the main event, Jack Della Madelana, thought like a man who'd been trained on Jack Slack Fightland era articles.

He just did everything I love, nothing I don't like,

and put on the performance of his life. I think some people really doubted that he was at the

level to win this belt. I think the way that this works in combat sports generally is if you

win the belt, suddenly you're unbeatable, or you can only win the belt if you're the absolute

best in the world or whatever.

I think the way it really works, obviously, is that there's all kinds of different matchups. And sometimes for the champion, a guy who's like 20th in the world might just be trickier than a guy who's in the top 10. But Jack Delamayana came in, and I was skeptical of his chances because I'd watched Gilbert Burns stick to him for two rounds

and then JDM finished him, but I think we all felt like,
