pay check, get out of debt and save more money. I have done something

crazy, a little bit crazy. I, okay, here's here, no I'm just gonna shoot straight, no back story here.

Our budget beforehand had 30 categories,

which is pretty modest compared to a lot of you

that do 70 or 80.

And that I find that borderline crazy.

But we were at 30 and I was still getting tired of recording all the transactions.

Just reconciling, just the heavy lifting of managing the budget reconciling

it and all that and I did have that interesting interview a while back and we talked

about cash and having things feel real and that psychological

connection between cash and spending and what if the credit card

companies really do know better and what if you're not gaming things the way you think you are

I've done that what if you really do spend more with a credit card and

despite your budgeting despite your best efforts despite your saviness with those points and sticking it to the credit card.

Man, despite all that, what if the credit card company still actually wins?

What if you do spend more?

I guess you don't know unless you try and that's what I'm going to try and do. So I

reduced our budget significantly. I actually cloned it so that I could run them in tandem because I'm so afraid of what I'm about to do here.

But I basically said, okay, we want savings, retirement goes out before it even hits the budget, so I've hit my savings goal.

We're good there.
