All right, let's get into this. we go welcome in everyone to this week's edition of the deer hunter

podcast friday september 24th you were in the studio one week out from the opening day of the

michigan archery deer season.

So that is exciting.

Today it very much felt like a fall day.

My bow is tuned with broadheads.

My clothing is ready to go.

My boots are sitting here.

I have cameras sitting here with fresh batteries ready to go in them.

I am leaving at 4 a.m. Saturday morning to drive four hours to deploy some season-long cameras,

to look at some food sources, see if apple trees have apples, see what the status is of some acorns,

and potentially make a couple mock scrapes where I'm going to set a couple of these cameras up off of some intel

that I want to look a little deeper into that I sourced from last year on a new piece that I looked at.

So I plan on getting back up there at least once or twice in October to hunt.

And I need to have an idea of what's going on.

I did not get the Spring Scout.

I did not get the Summer Scout. I did not get the summer scout.

I was simply too busy. I did not have the ability to do that right now. I realize it's not

optimal time to be going into these spots. You're kidding me. But it's what I got. And I feel like
