Strange Creature in dimming Membrase Riverbed from drummer woman 21, location, New Mexico.

I live in a small town in New Mexico, and nothing really goes on here.

I live in a small trailer park that's next to the Membrase Riverbed, and water doesn't flow

unless there's a lot of heavy rain, so it's nice to take walks through. Also, I live outside of town.

I was 20 years old, I just got into an argument with my mother, and I decided to cool off by going

to take a walk in the riverbed. The sun was starting to set at that point, so it was pretty nice out.

I was probably walking for about 45 minutes. I had to stop to catch my breath for a moment.

Admittedly, I am out of shape, and walking fast through that deep sand took a bit out of me.

I was pretty far from home by that point. Still fuming and being me, I decided to go further.

It was getting dark now, and I was tired, and after a few more minutes of walking I convinced myself,

I should probably head back, even if I was still mad at my mother.

It was like the moment I turned around on my heels, a switch flipped, because when I turned around,

I was instantly terrified. An overwhelming feeling like I shouldn't be there right now,
