So, friends, this podcast started some years ago as a personal hobby.

It has become a little more than that.

Over the years of this podcast, I have basically done all of the work of the podcast by myself, show notes, recording, editing.

But I'm grateful that I have a new partnership with Luke Clayton and the team at increasecreative.co.

They are helping me to produce each new episode of this podcast.

So this will, I hope, help us to publish on a more regular basis on Mondays

and will up the game on the quality of this podcast.

I'm going to plunge right in and try not to ramble too much in and answer these questions.

I'd love any feedback dialogue that you want to do after that. The first question is,

what does it mean to let the biblical text set the agenda for the sermon rather than using the text to support

your own ideas? So I'm a student and an advocate of expositional preaching, and I think the simplest way to

describe expository preaching

is that an expository sermon is a sermon in which the point of the text is the point of the sermon.

It's just as simple as that. It is, well, it's simple and as difficult as that. it is first doing the hard work of coming

to a proper understanding of God-intended meaning of the text and then preaching in such a way
