Some of America's most impactful stories have come to light only with the assistance of brave whistleblowers.

The truth is, as we've reported on full measure and as I've written at my website and reported

at CBS before that, things rarely work out well for the whistleblower, for all the good they

may do.

Their lives are typically all but ruined. In today's top-see-turvy
