Hey there, welcome, welcome.

0:43.3

I am so grateful that you are joining me. Thank you. This is part two of my conversation with my husband on how to be easygoing. Now, a lot of people would talk about easygoing as though it were a personality trait, but I think it's actually a developed characteristic of your marriage. And it was interesting because in reading my Bible this

0:49.8

morning, I happen upon a verse, a chunk of verses actually, that I was very surprised I hadn't read before,

0:56.4

so, or at least not recently, it didn't, it didn't ring a bell. You know, who knows? Maybe I read

1:02.3

it before, but let me read it to you. It's 1st Corinthians 712. Now, I can't interpret all of this

1:08.7

for you. I really don't understand it that well, but it's in the Bible.

1:14.4

And there's certainly, you know, the more I'm aware of how languages work, and I'm definitely a fan of all sorts of languages and ethnicities and cultures around the world.

1:28.4

It's amazing how God is created and uniquely designed each of them.

1:33.7

But what I am interested in is how there's actually different meanings in each language,

1:42.8

and there's actually different words that don't fully or

1:49.1

easily or nicely translate into other languages. For example, the word to know in English has two

1:56.8

different words in Spanish. So, um, Konocer means to know like I know a person and, uh,

2:06.3

is to know, like, I know how to do something. So anyway, those are, uh, those are some things.

2:13.4

Um, just a little quiz on my memory around Spanish, but I'm actually going to start practicing on that again.

2:21.4

You can keep me accountable. All right. So, 1 Corinthians 712. I said all that about language to say that some of this may be lost in translation.

2:31.7

Maybe some of the ways that we understand the Hebrew or the Greek,

2:35.9

you might scratch your head and be like, what does that mean? Well, maybe there's some Bible study

2:41.8

that needs to be done around what it specifically means. But something I think is going to be

2:47.9

really helpful as I encourage you guys in the easygoing aspect here.
