Summary

Hello and welcome to episode 216 of The Mindful Kind podcast.

In this episode, I've shared my thoughts on a mindset I heard while listening to The School of Greatness podcast (episode 839).

The mindset is: "There is no competition and I want everyone in my life to succeed."

You'll learn why I think this concept is so great (including how it can strip away comparison and how it can push you out of your comfort zone in a good way).

You'll also hear two ways I'll be embracing this mindset, including:

1: Sending thoughts of success out to other people in the world

2: Actively showing my loved ones that I support them.

Don't forget to subscribe to The Mindful Kind podcast and write a review.

Hello and welcome to episode 216 of The Mindful Kind podcast.

Okay, so a few days ago, I was listening to this great podcast called The School of Greatness.

It was episode number 839 and the host, Lewis Howes,

0:40.7

was interviewing Kyle Sees, who is an American author, comedian and speaker. I've been making it a

0:47.5

habit to listen to more podcast episodes lately from all different podcast hosts on different

0:53.0

topics and I'm excited to see what I can learn in

0:56.7

2020. But anyway, I was listening to this podcast episode and I was taking heaps of notes and

1:03.1

one sentence in particular just gave me goosebumps because it resonated with me so much.

1:08.7

I'm really excited to share this particular sentence with you and talk about it

1:13.4

a little more on this episode. So the sentence was, there is no competition and I want everyone in my

1:20.6

life to succeed. Let me just say that again. There is no competition and I want everyone in my life to succeed. I just thought, wow,

1:30.9

what an awesome mindset to have. And I thought if I can embrace this mindset more this year,

1:37.0

I think I'll be really happy with how I'm showing up in this world. I think I would probably

1:42.0

become a better friend and partner. I'd feel more inspired to do

1:46.3

more great things with my work and I'd be really proud of myself for being more of a supportive,

1:52.5

positive and uplifting person. I really feel excited because if you've been listening to the

1:58.8

mindful kind for a while, you'll already know how

2:01.6

much I love to learn and grow in new ways and discovering things like this really lights me up.

2:07.4

I'm so glad I get to share all this with you as it's unfolding. So I'd love to invite you along on
