Hey, what's up everybody? Welcome back to another episode of the Malhar podcast.

This is episode 216 and today I'm going to be diving into the story of the Costa Concordia

cruise ship disaster. This is an event that happened in 2012 and honestly I didn't even

remember this happening which is weird because everybody else here remembered this happening or

hearing about it but I just graduated high school so forgive me I probably was thinking about other

things at the time but this is a very very honestly frustrating disaster that could have been

completely avoided as we'll find out but I thought it'd be interesting to dive into another sort of

cruise ship situation because the last time we talked about a cruise ship was the White Island

volcano sort of disaster that happened and that wasn't really about the cruise ship as much as

the excursion from the cruise ship to the White Island volcano and that's just an absolutely insane

story and just everything from that was I couldn't even imagine and this is a similar situation

and yeah we're going to dive into that today but before we get into the episode just a couple things

here as you can see Kendall is not back yet it's just me, she knows here as well and hopefully

Kendall will be back here in a couple of weeks it sounds like I think there's only going to be a

few more episodes with just me and Janelle and then Kendall will be back hopefully at the end of
