Hello and welcome to the show, I'm Stuart Goldsmith and today I'm talking to

Andy Daly an absolutely brilliant sketch and character comic someone who when I found

out he was coming to the Edinburgh Festival this year at which of course I am as I always am.

I was absolutely thrilled I couldn't believe it.

It's like having your favorite band turn up on the

lineup to a festival you already booked at so excited to talk to him and unusually

for this show this episode has been released almost immediately as we're all

promoting stuff like a fury up here in Edinburgh.

So without further ado, let's, oh here's a tiny bit of a do, I'll tell you what

we're going to talk about.

We're going to talk about some of his sketch and character comedy. We're going to talk about the comedy Bang Bang

podcast, the Andy Daily Podcast Pilot Project, which is now as we learned sadly

on hold. We're going to talk about his show review with Forrest McNeil, which I really recommend.

We're going to talk about his album Nine Sweaters and how he got into doing improv and how he worked and indeed

taught for the upright citizens brigade, UCB in New York and also in

LA. So all of that to come. You will hear me throughout this episode, try to chisel the smile off my face so thrilled was I to be talking to
