| 0:35.0 | Could DHA be the secret to a healthy brain throughout life? |
| 0:39.0 | Well, let's take a look at the latest research and figure out how this nutrient fits into your diet. |
| 0:46.0 | As I talked about in my show on fish oil and omega-3s, |
| 0:50.0 | omega-3 isn't just one nutrient but a whole family of fatty acids. |
| 0:55.0 | Two of the most biologically active members of that family are EPA and DHA. |
| 1:02.0 | And when you eat fish, or take a fish oil supplement you're getting some of each. |
| 1:06.0 | At the risk of oversimplifying a complex area of nutritional biochemistry, |

| 1:14.8 | DHA supports your brain and neurological function. So it makes sense for |

| 1:36.7 | have lower levels of omega-3s, including DHA, in their cells and in their bloodstream. |
| 1:42.1 | If ADHD might be due even in part to a DHA deficiency, |

| 1:52.0 | But there's also some evidence that these lower increasing DHA might be helpful. |
