It's a busy time for students and faculty, and with a new school year comes new adventures, new experiences, and new goals to achieve. But as much promise and excitement as the fall semester brings, there can also be a dark side to it, one in which the unthinkable can happen. I'm Amy Slashberg. And I'm Megan Sacks, and we're the host of the podcast, Campus Killings. As educators and

criminologists, we teach, research, right, and podcast about victims, offenders, and the issues that

surround our criminal justice system. Amy and I have both worked in the field of criminal justice

for 20 years, myself in law enforcement and Amy in the mental health field. In campus killings, we'll dive into some of the most shocking and tragic murders to happen on school grounds

We are still going strong with our missing persons episode.

Yeah.

So when we were discussing how to approach this series, we have that discussion of, you know, is this missing persons as far as something criminal

happened and it's really sad and tragic and upsetting?

And then we were like, do we cross over into kind of the DB Cooper, Amelia Earhart realm?

This one I kind of feel like sits somewhere in between, which is

really intriguing because, of course, we don't know what happened, but the theories and the

thought processes are all over the place. Also, one quick note, and I know that we just were off,

but we are going to be off next week.

This was planned ahead of time, but I'm actually out of town.

I will actually be where this story happened.

We're going to New York to visit my husband's family.

And we're gone for like a week.

So it just not time to record Annetta and all that, unfortunately.
