So before we dig into the orders list and the two significant oral arguments this week, I read a cute article Tony Morrow had this week reporting on a recent panel discussion at Harvard about how to prepare for and survive oral argument at the Supreme Court.

So some of the panelists talked about their pre-argument rituals.

Most of the advice was very practical and boring.

Do moot courts, talk a lot, write out all the questions you think you might get and the answers you could give.

But there were a few interesting things.

Elizabeth Preligar, who is an assistant to the SG, she talked about how she always has

salmon for dinner the night before her arguments.

And this is because it's a superfood, so it's good for your brain.

morning of, she said, I eat bananas, a lot of bananas, like two, three, maybe even four bananas.
