Because as you're a student in clinical, you're always thinking about how I'm going to take what I'm learning here and use it later when I'm the actual nurse, right?

So starting out as a new nurse, it really can be one of the most challenging things also most rewarding transformations that you will ever make.

The learning curve is absolutely enormous. The stress at times can feel really overwhelming. And there could be this feeling that you're not really sure what to focus on.

As you take on this new role because there's so much it's like drinking from a fire hose, right? So whether you're going through a formal residency program or just getting a down and dirty orientation, which could be happening because there's a big, big need for nurses right now.

So you might be getting that really quick, hyper fast, fast track orientation, focusing on these items in your first five shifts can help you kind of get your feet under you a little more quickly.

I've broken these up into three categories. There's like a general category, a very nursing, you know, nursing role specific category and then technology category. Okay.
