Hey everyone and welcome to get your hopes up. I'm Christi right and I'm so glad you're here.

Romans 1513 says, may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him

so that you may overflow with hope by power of the Holy Spirit. Our God is the God of hope and he

wants you to overflow with hope so let's start our week by getting our hopes up again.

Today we are talking about something really interesting and I just want to tell you in the beginning that it's going to be weird.

I don't know if you like my weird stories or if my weird stories make you uncomfortable.

Either way, I'm glad you're here.

But I got to tell you from the get-go,

today's stories are going to be weird.

In fact, the subject of today's episode is,

would God do that?

Like, would God actually do that thing, that weird thing? Well, let me start with an example. So I have been a

parent for nine years. I have an eight-year-old, a seven-year-old, and a four-year-old, and

it's interesting because as I have been a parent longer

you know you're in the mom circles the dad circles the school circles and you have these wonderful

communities but sometimes every now and then in, you know, these parenting

circles, you will come across a child that is just, you know, how do we say this?

He's just a little troublemaker, okay? Like, not a bad kid. I don't believe there are bad kids, but he's just a trouble maker. He gets himself in trouble, probably gets other people in trouble, he's getting into mischief, he's just the rebel child, and he gets himself in a lot of trouble.

Well, sometimes you have this troublemaker child, little Johnny here,

and the mom or the dad, but let's just use the mom for this example,

doesn't see it, right?

Like she's in denial.
