Summary

1:09.8	And this is the story of John List. So let's go ahead and
1:14.0	jump right in. John was born September 17th of 1925 in Bay City, Michigan to a proud Lutheran
1:22.7	family who spent their Sundays attending church and Sunday school. His father, John Frederick,
1:29.0	was 26 years older than his mother, and his first wife died of cancer. Fun fact here, so he had
1:36.7	a son from his first marriage, the one that she died of cancer. That son was the same age
1:42.6	as his second wife Alma. His parents were allegedly
1:46.4	very strict and a bit domineering. He was expected to make good grades and represent his family
1:52.6	well within the church community. They did not celebrate Halloween. His mom is always scared
1:58.3	that he would get sick or hurt, so he didn't really get out there and play a lot
2:02.6	with the other kids she pretty much just really watched over him very closely and the fact that
2:10.1	they did not celebrate Halloween because they thought that it was a satanic holiday ends up being
2:16.6	somewhat relevant later. So put a
