How are you, buddy? I'm good. I'm good. I don't know about amazing, but I am a guest, and I'm glad to be here.

You are a human with a beard and tattoos, so you, well, you are amazing. You are amazing. That's right in around these parts, that's for sure. It's great to be here. I mean, you got, the black rifle is a movement, and to be here and be on your podcast, it feels special.

I always Wikipedia people just to see what comes up first.

And I realize today, another reason why you're amazing, is we have the same exact birthday.

13 years older than you. I was like, look at that. No wonder, you know? Well, I have a story to tell when my son, he was getting out of base, or no, he was at, oh no, he just graduated to Rasp, I think is what it was. And you talked to him. And like, as like a famous ranger, that was a big deal. He's like, I can't believe I talked to Matt Best. You didn't have to do that. I think you texted me or messaged me and one of the asked if you could call him and I'll never forget it. And he won't forget it either. But to me, that, you know, as your son or your kids,

you have, you know, you want them to succeed in that moment is something that I'll, I'll always remember.

Thank you. Oh, well, no problem. I enjoy it. It's interesting because there's, throughout the years, I've talked to, you know, friends and people that have wanted to join the military and, you know,

all of us here at the table are military guys.

And just speaking in your son's tone and obviously you raising him, I'm like, I don't want to give him false confidence, but I knew he was going to pass. It's like, of course he's going to be a good ranger. Just because of the product of you're raising, anybody that follows you in social media,

you see that you put hard work in and you take the hard right over the easy left.
