Acts chapter 21 versus 10 through 13 describes a really interesting interchange

as Paul's on his way to Jerusalem.

So verse 10 says, while we were staying for many days,

a prophet named Agamis came down from Judea.

And coming to us, he took Paul's belt and bound his own feet in hands and says

Thus says the Holy Spirit this is how the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.

When we heard this, we and the people there urged Paul not to go up to Jerusalem.

Then Paul answered to listen to Paul's response. He said,

what are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart,

for I am ready not only to be imprisoned,

but even to die in Jerusalem

for the name of the Lord Jesus.

Oh, Paul gets this prophecy that's saying, hey, if you go to Jerusalem, you're going to be

bound and you're going to be delivered over and so you got people urging him

don't go and Paul says I'm going like I'm ready to be imprisoned I'm ready to die

in Jerusalem for the name of Christ if that's what it means.

This resolve in Paul to say if Jesus is leading me to Jerusalem I'm going even if that means even if I know that means I might be

imprisoned which indeed he was he went to Jerusalem his goal was to get to

Rome and he ended up getting to Rome but not the way he'd planned he ended up getting

there in chains so Paul went to Jerusalem knowing that imprisonment was a real

possibility if it's not if not knowing it was it was going to be a reality and
