where a Labour MP confronts the Prime Minister over plans he'd put forward for welfare reform.

It was so far removed from labour values of fairness and social justice, let alone compassion

and common decency. I have to say I felt ashamed. But Kirstama defends his policies.

I'm not going to pretend that we got everything right in recent weeks,

but we do need to reform the system.

Under the last government, the number of teachers went up by 27,000.

Under this government is down by 400.

But first, a Labour MP has told the Prime Minister that his plans for welfare reform created fear and anxiety.

The government has recently been forced to shelve proposals limiting access to some benefits

claimed by people with disabilities or health conditions after a large-scale rebellion on its own side.

when he appeared in front of the liaison committee

made up of senior MPs.
