Well, good morning, beautiful. Welcome to a brand new day of life. Happy Thursday, my friends.

Well, I am coming to you one final time from the jungles of Hawaii, all that background

noise that you've been getting used to for the past seven weeks, all those chickens, all those

roosters, all those birds singing. Well, this is my final day coming from here.

Tomorrow I will be traveling heading to Korea for a quick stop and then on to Bali. So I will not have a

devotional episode for you tomorrow on Friday, but my intentions are to be back with you to start next week

right on Monday should be coming to you from Bali. Lord Willin, okay? So one last devotional

from Hawaii with our beautiful birds joining us. We're continuing our study in the book of Exodus, the title of today's episode of the

Big Life devotional podcast is one step at a time. God has a promise. What we're reading in the

book of Exodus is God had a promise for his people. God has a promise for us today. We are still

his people and he has a promise. But when God has a promise, we must possess the promise through his

process. We don't get to choose the process for ourselves. We have to possess his promise

one step at a time. And it's up to us to be obedient and follow the steps or not. We don't

always understand God's process. We certainly don't understand God's timeline, right? We've been talking about that so much lately,

about waiting, confused, why things take a while. Well, I want to share with you some of what God says

in Exodus chapter 23 that God actually explains his process and his timeline to Moses to share with his

people. And it's just an interesting look at what we don't typically get to see, like the

reasoning behind a delay. So let's look at this together. First Exodus 23 versus 27 through 30, God is speaking to

Moses and he says, I will send my terror ahead of you and create panic among all the people

whose lands you invade. So God's telling him, I'm promising you victory. I've got a promised land
