But before we do that, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Spikes

in large ways and small this year. It's been a hell of a year, another year in which the world

was turned upside down. All through it, I'm happy to say Spikes has been on the side of freedom

and democracy and common sense holding the line on all of the issues that matter. And we've also

been able to notch up some huge achievements for us, not only growing our magazine,

growing our stable of writers, now spanning great up and commas, as well as some genuine,

journalistic legends. But also doing things like getting into the book publishing business with

Joanna Williams is how woke one, got another book coming up next year, which I'm very excited to

share with you all very soon. Even though things have been very difficult for many people out there,

I'm glad so that we've continued to make the case for the principles and the issues that we care

most deeply about. And we wouldn't have been able to do any of that without the support

of listeners and readers and viewers like yourselves. Contrary to media rumour, Spikes is not

lavishly funded by dark money. Though if you do know anyone, please do send them my way.

In fact, we at Spikes are increasingly relying on the generosity of our readers and supporters

in order to fund our work and our growth. And most importantly, I think, to keep Spiked free

for everyone around the world to read. Because while Spikes has been going from strength to strength

in recent years in so many ways, we're also, of course, encountering the sort of obstacles

that come with the sensorious era that we find ourselves in. So even though Spikes readership

has been soaring in recent years, we've also seen our ad revenue go down because more and more

agencies coming under pressure from a liberal activist are blacklisting dissenting voices like
