On June 7, 2021, Alex Murdaugh came home to his large property in Colleton County, South Carolina to find his wife, 52-year-old Maggie and his youngest son, 22-year-old Paul, dead from multiple gunshot wounds. The Murdaughs were a powerful and prominent family throughout the low country of South Carolina and the murders of Maggie and Paul made national news. Unfortunately, the significant media attention shed a bright spotlight on the Murdaugh family and their suspicious involvement in multiple deaths and the theft of millions of dollars. Throughout multiple investigations, law enforcement and the media have uncovered lies on top of lies that proved the Murdaughs weren’t only powerful and prominent; they had been above the law and used their name to cover-up countless crimes without any remorse.
