I read on Twitter this week somebody positing the idea that we might be living in a

monkey's paw situation of Donald Trump, where I don't know if you know this old story.

There's like wishes that could be granted by an old monkey's paw, but the wishes come true

in weird ways. So we're living in that alternate reality. Opposite theory.

I also heard a theory that we're in the Truman show.
