every region and sometimes every town has its own dialect. For example, there's Napolitano from Naples

or Sicilianiano from Sicily. Dialects can tell you a lot about places history and culture,

and they are part of what makes each region unique.

But if the locals speak in dialect instead of standard Italian,

it can make understanding them really tricky.

That's why in today's episode we look at five common dialect words

that you might hear in Italy.

That way, they won't sound so unfamiliar the next time you come across them.
