Summary
Matthew 14:1-12. John the Baptist was not afraid to call out sin and speak the truth, even when it meant being thrown in prison. He lived his life faithfully as a servant of the Lord, even to the very end. Life may not look how we plan or think it should, but as we put our faith and hope in Jesus, He is working all things for good. We cannot see it with our physical eyes, but the kingdom of God is for all who believe in Jesus, and the kingdom of God is one of righteousness, peace and joy. It is unshakeable and eternal. John's life did not end in fame and accolades, but Jesus said that John was the greatest of all men. John's commitment to righteousness and truth made him a voice speaking truth and light into the darkness.
