I am Cat Angus, and this is the podcast where this month we are talking about all the movies you love and love.

So I will tell you honestly, this week we are doing a Jocelyn pick.

We are talking about the 1979 Bob Fossi semi-autobiographical film, All That Jazz.

All That Jazz.

Now, guys, I knew when I was putting this on the list that this would not be Cat's taste,

but I really love this movie, and I'm very excited to discuss it because Fossi is such a controversial figure

and as kind of exciting and intoxicating as I find this movie, he's such a destructive and

innovating figure that there's a lot going on.

I just feel like there's a lot to chew on in this movie.

One other thing that I really think is important about this film is that Fossi Verden recently came out.

It's so much of what informed Fossi Verden was All That Jazz.

I mean, when they started to write the show, they were like, what is there left to say about Bob Fossi

that he didn't say about himself in his own movie?

And that informed some of the reasons of why they brought Gwen Verden into the show,

but it really informed the approach of the show.

I mean, and the movie by itself is, you know, it's so interesting as a musical.

I don't think there's another musical really like it.

I mean, it's simultaneously got such a more sense of humor, but it's so in its way joyous and
