Commons. Following this attack, the police were called, but Derek wasn't finished. He drove

towards Whitehaven to a taxi rank on Duke Street. He then called over fellow taxi driver

Darren Roo Castle, whom he had conflicts with and shot him twice at point-blank

range. Next to be shot was taxi driver David Reed, who Derek drove alongside and shot twice in the

back and two more times while waiting on emergency services. He was wounded but ultimately survived

the attack. He did the same to driver Paul Wilson

as he walked down the street. He was shot in the face but survived. Police began following his
