This is the Bamoul podcast with Marty Solomon. I'm his co-host, Brent Billings. Today we are joined by a special guest, Reed Dent. He's been on staff with Campus Christian Fellowship at Truman State University in Missouri for the last 12 years.

I was hoping, I don't know if Marty has anything else he wants to start with, but I was hoping that you could maybe just tell us a little bit about who you are, kind of your backstory, how you got into ministry, your passions, whatever you want to share about yourself.

So I am a Campus Minister at Truman State University, which is in rural Northeast Missouri, and Truman State University.

Okay, so just official nomenclature here. It's either Truman State University or Truman, but it's never Truman State says the university.

So there, it's at liberal arts school up here.

A lot of smart kids, a lot of bookish kind of kids who love to overachieve and get straight A's, lots of thinky types.

I was one of them, went to school here, graduated way back yonder in 2007, and started at CCF a year later.

So I was a student here at the ministry before I started working here.

I have a degree in English, which several people have told me it's, it maybe seems largely pointless when it comes to ministry.

But I don't know, maybe some of the things we're going to talk about today will show that it actually has value in terms of, you know, just how we read the Bible and whatnot.

So yeah, I've been here on staff for 12 years, work with a team of five other people, Marty knows them all.

And I do some of the preaching here, some men's discipleship type stuff. I read out loud to people, which Marty thinks is really weird, but it's actually.
