If you're not too familiar with baseball savon, it's a wonderful tool.

There's all kinds of stuff that you can use to kind of make sense of what's going on.

And here's the scorecard, the 2023 scorecard of Mitch Keller.

This looks fantastic.

So what I'd like to do is go back to 2021.

Blue is bad.

Red is good.

His average X velocity, which measures how hard the pitters hit the ball.

When it's blue like that means 97, he's in the lower 3% upper 97 of allowing heart, of allowing lots of

velocity coming off the bat.

You can see somebody equate to hard hits.

That's any ball that's hit over 95 miles an hour.

So again, the lower 2% of all pitchers allowing hard hit balls not 98% of his balls were hard hit but in all

the pitchers that were put in 2021 and baseball savant he's in the lower 2% barrels are a combination

of launch angle and hard hit balls so allowing guys to get underneath the ball, usually pitching down in the zone.
