I think that this is a business. There are those who are not just in Uganda, but various different countries in Africa and in India too, who have realized that there is big, big money in convincing people that sacrificing a child will make them rich. Children are murdered for money.

Today is really quite an impactful and emotional episode so I do warn you that we talk

about some really gruesome things and it's up to you whether you want to hear about that

on this fine sunny day or grisly gray day or night or wherever you

are however it is. Aniqba is a hero to me because she fought to end child sacrifice in

Uganda. That's what we're talking about today.

I didn't know the practice even took place until I stumbled upon Annie's work

and invited her on the podcast. For various reasons it ended up taking a few months

to get this out there there but it's such an

important subject that I really did want to cover it and I'm glad that I managed to

get this out on the podcast. Annie is a freelance TV editor and she was the

instigator of the bill to change things in Uganda after having

experiences there that alerted her to the way that families and certain rogue

individuals were going about sacrificing children.
