Let's talk about sweet corn, one of summer's most iconic crops. I don't know about you, but for me,

I think the only thing that beats freshly harvested sweet corn in the summer garden would probably

be watermelon. But corn was not something that I started growing in my first garden, and in fact,

it's something that I didn't start for a couple of years

after that. But once I did and once my family started tasting that fresh sweet corn,

from that time forward, I always made room to have some sweet corn in my garden. But I will have to

say that it hasn't always been so easy to grow sweet corn.

And so in today's episode, we're going to talk about growing corn and what can go wrong.

Whether you're growing sweet corn in your garden right now, which now is about the time many of us are harvesting, maybe that second planting of sweet corn, or maybe if you're in a shorter season,

this will be your first planting. But no matter whether you're growing them in your garden right now,

or if it's something you want to consider for the future, we're going to talk about growing

sweet corn and what can go wrong and how you can prevent some of the issues that arise.
