and dreaming of islands in the Italian sun and sipping a cheeky

limoncello spritz. I know I am, so today I thought we'd head back to one of Italy's most

famous islands and explore what it takes to have the best time ever there. Of course, I'm talking

about Capri, island of dreams for many,

but sadly, perhaps some people who visited there recently, perhaps didn't have the best time.

There's been quite a bit of commentary about that on our Italy travel planning Facebook community,

so I thought I'd ask my friend Holly, who has lived on the island for many years,

to share her tips on ensuring your trip to Capri meets your expectations.

But first, some context. Carpree is a very small island, and in the peak of summer, over 20,000

visitors a day arrive on the island, and so you can imagine the chaos that can cause.

It's probably not so insterworthy unless you have a solid plan. So let's pause for a moment

and consider, with Holly's help, how to visit her beautiful island home thoughtfully,

so you can enjoy the jaw-dropping beauty that has attracted visitors

for centuries and millennia and go home delighted, not disappointed.
