Hi, everyone. Welcome back. Can you target one part of a muscle more than another? Are certain exercises more effective for

developing all of a muscle than other exercises? Today, we're talking about regional hypertrophy.

So what is regional hypertrophy? Most muscles have regions or sections or different fiber

orientations or kind of heads of the muscle.

For example, if you've ever seen someone with a really well-developed tricep, you might see that it kind of splits.

And this is because there are different regions of that same muscle, that triceps.

So you have the long head, the lateral head, and the medial head.

Or another example is the glute max.
