I was just thinking about this verse a few days ago, and because it's often, it is brought up a lot in the debate over whether God has a future for Israel or not.

In verse 29 of Romans 11, it says, for the gifts and the callings of God are irrevocable.

Now, what this usually is taken to mean by popular teachers is that God has a calling and a gifting on the nation of Israel, which will not change.
