Let's start with the Nationals offseason.

There is a new regime that is in, and it looks like they might be tearing things down.

They acquired Harry Ford from the Mariners for reliever Jose Ferrer.

They acquired pitching prospect Luis Perales from the Red Sox.

They signed Foster Griffin on a one-year deal.

He is returning from NPB, where he put up some pretty nice numbers there.

The big move, they recently traded McKenzie Gore to the Rangers in exchange for five prospects.

So this is a forward-thinking move, obviously, a couple years away on a lot of those names.

And it sounds like they are listening on CJ Abrams as well.

By the time you are listening or watching this video,

he might already be traded.

So just the heads up on that.

It's crazy because they did so well in the Juan Soto trade back in the day,

back in the day, like five years ago, whatever it was.

But they don't really have anything to show for it right now. So what do you think of the way this team is headed, the direction they're headed? Seems like we've got another rebuilding season here in 2026. Oh, dude. At least a rebuild in 2026, probably a rebuild. I mean, nobody knows what's coming in 27, which is the biggest wild card and all this with the work stoppage or whatever.

But this rebuild feels like it's 28, 29 again.

And that's after chopping everything down after the World Series in 2019.
