We resume our position preview series at Second Base base if you are new to the series we

have episodes out already for shortstop and third base the series just started this week

and it's going to continue on into early February we'll take breaks for big news pods and we had

the Kyle Tucker emergency pod after he signed with the Dodgers late Thursday, so we'll

continue to keep up with everything going on around the league.

The way these work, though, we dig into average draft position from early fantasy baseball

drafts, break up the players by group where they're going, talk about whether they're overvalued,

undervalued, or appropriately priced, and try to figure out performance expectations for the upcoming season.

So with that, let's get right back to it.

This is a position we disagree about right off the top because Eno likes second base and I'm kind of just indifferent towards it.

I think it's appropriately priced almost across the board and I I'll explain why on a player-by-player level.

Let's start at the top.

Two inside the top 30, Jazz Chisholm Jr., who is also eligible at third base.

That's probably going to go away after 2026.

And Ketel Marte, who has been subject of trade rumors for the better part of the last two months.

But more recently, is GM or president of baseball operations, Mike Hazen, coming out and saying, they're not going to move Cattel Marte. So we'll see if he sticks true to his word. Jazz is interesting to me, though, Eno, because I think we had a very positive Jazz Chisholm Jr. experience in his first full season with the Yankees.

He went 30-30.

He did it despite reaching just 531 plate appearances,

knocked the ground ball rate under 40% for the first time since 2022.

Health has always been a little bit elusive for jazz.
