Today I am joined by actor, writer and character comic Bill Dunning.

Now Phil's credits include Feel Good, Am I Being Unreasonable, Harry Hill's Club Night,

but he is best known for starring in his own BBC comedy, The Fantastic Smoggy Queens,

which has earned him Best Comedy Series at the Broadcast Digital Awards,

Smoggy Queens won Best Comedy and Phil won Best Newcomer, Smoggy Queen's won Best Comedy,

and Phil won Best Newcomer at the Royal Television Society North East and Borders Awards,

and he and the show was nominated for three BAFTAs.

I absolutely loved it, and the second series is coming out soon,

so I'm delighted to have the chance to chat to him today.

Hello, what a lovely, lovely intro.

You've done well, haven't you?

It's done well.

But you put it all in black and white, like that sounds quite overwhelming, doesn't it?

It's good, isn't it?

Well, God, it doesn't feel like that when you just, you just like sat going, oh, what I'm doing today?

But that sounds lovely, yeah. Thank you for giving it all that. The last one saw you was at the BAFTAs. Yeah. Were you with your mum? Yeah, my mum was there. Yeah, I had, we had our gang of Smoggy Queen's cast and producers and my mum as well. And I was like, my mum's got to sit next to me at the BAFTAs. Of course.

This might never happen again, do you know what I mean?

I think it might. So, oh, thanks very much. But I'm looking at it like, but it probably definitely won't. So I was like, she's got to come. She's got to be there. She's actually the boom operator. So she's got to be here. That's the only way we could get her in.
