26. Exactly. Or maybe we'll just start throwing elbows right at the beginning because hello, I'm Amy

Nicholson. I'm the film critic for the Los Angeles Times. And I have a pick for what should have

been nominated this year, but wasn't. I am really salty that my movie Hedda did not get nominated for anything. It was the Tessa Thompson adaptation of Hedda

Gabler, directed by Nia da Costa, who also did, you know, the latest 28 years later.

Yes. I can just imagine that there are people out there. Your eyes might be glazing over

like, oh, an Ibsen play, okay, sure. Whatever. It is the saltiest, meanest, funniest, funniest,

greatest movie of the year. It's so intelligent. It's one of the best adaptations I've ever

seen. Amazing costumes. Really funny. Nobody watched it. I'll be screaming about this movie for the end of time.

Amy, I know you talked about that movie and it was on my list and I never actually hit play.

Yes, nobody can hit play. So I am one of those people. I don't know why nobody will hit play on this movie. Everybody who's hit play on it has been like, oh, I glad i saw that just hit play on the movie people please i know

Because this is a year that is really reflective of an exciting year for good movies.

And I think a lot of good movies got rewarded.

But if I had to pick one, a very clear snub is of the film Eddington.
