I guess technically Dalton, day one, right?

Because Monday and Tuesday, the legal tampering period or the negotiating period, whatever

they're calling it now.

So technically, this is our day one episode of free agency

because it's on a Wednesday and this is going to be day one of the league new year once 4 p.m.

Eastern comes around. We're obviously live here on this show before 4 p.m.

But we still got plenty to talk about because as we both predicted at the end of yesterday's live stream the second we were going to

get off the air something major was going to break and the second we got off the air didn't we get

gino was it was gino and then something else one two later there were two moves immediately once we got

off of the stream what was the other one uh the romeo dob signing yes yes who. We were talking about Romeo Dobbs. We were talking about some landing spots there with the chat. But we knew that would happen. So, of course, that's probably going to happen again today because that's always what happens here. But we still got plenty to talk about. Obviously, we have the Max Crosby trade fallout, Trey Hendrickson, now going to the Baltimore Ravens. But I do want to start out with the Daniel Jones contract because this just happened

about 20 minutes before we went live here on this show.

Daniel Jones getting a two-year deal worth $88 million, $50 million in fully guaranteed

right at signing and can go up to a $100 million

contract for him.

So obviously the Colts wanted to make sure that they got a deal done with him.

Now there was sort of some worry with Indianapolis that, man, since they tagged Jones where

they get to be able to bring Alex Pierce back, they bring Pierce back, they trade away Michael Pittman Jr. It gives them the flexibility to now get a short term. I'll call it a short term. It's not a one-year deal, but it's a short-term deal, a two-year deal done here with Daniel Jones. Dalton, your thoughts overall about prioritizing Jones the way that the Colts have. He's coming off of that Achilles injury.

There's no guarantee that he'll be 100% by week one.

But clearly they went all in on a quarterback who got them to a really,

really good record before he ended up getting hurt.
